Xasteria+ adds the Dark Sky weather source, a location manager, night vision mode and a lunar calendar to the free app Xasteria and it is made primarily to fund the 7Timer! weather forecast servers and also to allow the use of non-free weather services. Xasteria+ is included in the app Polar Scope Align Pro.

Xasteria brings the Astronomical-oriented ASTRO weather forecast of the service 7Timer! to your iOS device. You can use your device GPS for a forecast of your location, choose any location in the world. Xasteria+ also uses the hourly Dark Sky forecast for better short-term predictions.
For more precise short-term cloud/rain forecast, the hourly/hyperlocal Dark Sky forecast is added to Xasteria Plus.
Quick access to astro-weather web sources like Clear Outside, Meteoblue, Windy and the latest water vapor satellite images are also provided, as well as the nearest Clear Sky Charts and even light pollution maps.
In addition, ISS and bright satellite passes for your location are available (data from heavens-above.com).

7Timer! is mainly derived from the NOAA/NCEP-based numeric weather model, the Global Forecast System (GFS) and gives you a forecast for the entire globe with a resolution of about 20km at 3-hour intervals.

The data provided includes:

-Moon phase.
-Cloud cover.
-Astronomical seeing.
-Atmospheric transparency.
-Temperature.
-Humidity.
-Rain/Snow.
-Atmospheric instability.
-Wind.
-Wind Direction (Dark Sky).

-Dew Point (Dark Sky).

Xasteria provides you with a choice of 3 visualization modes for the data: the new 7Timer! ASTRO graphics, the color-stripe graphics similar to some other astro-forecast services and a raw text mode.
