TAIPEI 101 became the world’s tallest green building in 2011 when it received LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance Platinum certification. From 2015 TAIPEI 101 started to apply for an even higher standard of recertification, receiving the LEED v4 O+M Platinum level certification in 2016 and setting a new paradigm for Green Supertall Buildings. From the very beginning, TAIPEI 101’s original design concept combined oriental Zen style with green building design.
