Southwestern Christian is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) as well as the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

SCU currently sponsors 16 varsity programs including Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Bowling, Competitive Cheer, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis, Men's and Women's Track & Field and Volleyball.
