[ Thermohygrometric Index Meaning]

The Thermohygrometric Index ( THI) is an index that aims to roughly calculate the Thom Index (heat discomfort) directly with temperature and relative humidity, thus excluding from the calculation the temperature the wet bulb. The THI, unlike the index of Thom, is an index which goes directly to a climate classification, rather than to a biometeoclimatica classification system, starting from specific hygrothermal values.
