'Wide Awake Pip' is a narrative-based game that I created for my three young kids. They're lucky to have many brilliant children's books, with stunning illustrations and beautiful stories. But we found that there were relatively few kids' apps to equal them. 'Wide Awake Pip' is my attempt to close that gap a little.

The story follows Pip, a squirrel, who finds the world too distracting to stay asleep (despite the early hour of the morning). The narrative is interspersed with mini puzzles, games and creative activities with a loose educational theme. It's more exploratory learning than academic, but the app encourages speech, storytelling and some hand-eye coordination. The app also features 'falling down' which has my 3-year-old in fits of giggles.
