Perception is a platform designed and built to enhance printed media. It adds video experiences using Augmented Reality.

Perception was born from a desire to know more about the shows advertised on posters during our commute. Immediately, we saw the benefit of using Perception in magazines, newspapers, books, and comic books!

Based on a survey, more people prefer to watch a video than to read about a product or service. Even more people enjoy being able to share videos with friends and family. However, we love printed media, and we want to enhance it by making it more engaging.
Perception makes printed media multimedia!

How to use Perception:
Download the app and follow the on boarding tutorial. You will also receive hints on how to use the app. You can stop the hints when you feel comfortable.
You will be able to point your phone to a Perception-Enabled image and watch a video play right on top of it. Images that are Perception-Enabled show the square logo on them.
Moreover, you can double tap on the video and expand it, being able to take videos with you. Breaking away from printed content!
Perception also allows you to share videos with your friends.
You will be able to save the videos and watch them later. When you decide to save a video, you will be asked to create a user account so we can save your content for easy access.

Perception's partners are companies and organizations. Our partners want to enhance their printed advertising campaigns.

Currently, our main is Pursuit. Pursuit is a social impact organization that train adults with the most need and potential to get their first tech jobs, advance in their careers, and become the next generation of leaders in tech.

Pursuit uses posters and postcards in their outreach campaign. The main goal of these resources is to recruit students and procure resources. The posters are displayed on NYC buses and the postcards used at tabling events with community partners.
