Most people assume the Body Mass Index (BMI) is the starting point to measure health, but it measures height and weight only. The new Body Volume Index (BVI) now provides a better way to measure, track and improve your health by measuring the inside and the outside of the body.

With myBVI you don’t need a wearable device or smart scales to monitor your health and understand your body composition. Body images are never captured, and no data is stored anywhere other than in your own smartphone. The myBVI app allows you to track your body composition in the comfort of your own home in just a few seconds, providing data to help you focus on your health by understanding what the weight is and where it is, rather than just total weight.

In the myBVI app, three health measures provided after completing a scan successfully. These are Total Body Fat Percentage, Visceral Fat, and Waist to Hip Ratio; all recognised and accepted as better indicators of risk to health than BMI. There are different result levels provided for each measurement, shown visually to the user through a traffic light system of colours and a numerical value.
