Welcome to the Sri Lanka COVID-19 app!

This app allows Sri Lankan citizens to subscribe to:

- A news feed that shares verified information on the current COVID-19 status within the country.
- Data shared by medical authorities on the current cases of COVID-19 patients within the country.

You are prompted to record your location at the time of using the application. Therefore, it is recommended that you consent to use the location service when downloading the app.
When an individual who has contracted the virus is detected, the information is shared with all users. At the same time, the application locally maps the trail of the infected individual with your locations and informs you if you may have crossed paths. This is done to ensure that your data is kept secure.

If you have crossed paths with an infected individual, you have the option to self-register with the national disease surveillance system.
