Thai Food is a harmony of tastes including sour, sweet, salty and spicy and these flavours influence every dish. There is great variety in Thai cuisine so please try dishes from different categories including the salads and soups - don't just stick to the curries and stirfries with rice. Predominant flavours are lime, lemongrass, ginger and herbs including mint and coriander - not everything is incredibly spicy. The salads have incredibly fresh flavours and most dressings do not use oil so they taste totally different to European or American style salads.
