Berty is an encrypted & offline peer-to-peer chat application based on Berty protocol. Allowing people to connect with or without internet access, this messaging app is totally free for all and designed for surveillance and censorship resistance.

Deployed by the french non-profit organization and owned by its community, this application is decentralized both on its architecture and on its governance owned by the community.
This application is open source and developed by the french non-profit Berty Technologies.
Its mission is: Privacy for all.

- In some countries, even a "lol" or a like online can send you to jail. Berty messenger is encrypted by design, and even developers cannot access anything.

The application has not yet been audited externally and should not be used if you are prone to be targeted by actors like intelligence services.
