Sensavis has created a visualization of the Mitosis and Meiosis process. Each step enables you to explore what is happening. All 3D models are interactive, and you can rotate the models and zoom in and out. This is not a video clip but an actual interactive visualization!
Teachers can explain the complex process of Mitosis and Meiosis with help of 3D-models. It can also be used by anybody that would like to experience and explore Mitosis and Meiosis!
Mitosis
You can see 8 different steps from the centrosomes, nucleus, nuclear membrane and the sister chromatids. See how the chromosomes start to condense and the mitotic spindle begins to form and all the different faces to the Cytokinesis; the division of the cytoplasm to form two new cells, overlaps with the final stages of mitosis.
Meiosis
You can see 15 different steps from the centrosomes, nucleus, nuclear membrane and the sister chromatids and all the faces to the telophase and finally how the cells divide.
