GenMove is an app that gets our children moving and active again by engaging them where they want to play, through gamified exercise at the screen. We call this Gaming for Good!
As parents we have all experienced what too much screen time can do to our children’s mood and the effects it is having on their physical and mental wellbeing. Unfortunately screen time continues to increase and is now up to 6 hours per day.

Screen time addiction and its negative effects are the reason we created GenMove. We know we can't eliminate screen time, rather we can now use it in a more productive way through encouraging gamified exercise. This gaming for good approach has an immediate effect on mood and over time can help our children re-develop their movement literacy and regain their confidence to experience joy through physical play.

GAMING FOR GOOD
GenMove is a gamified exercise experience that turns any phone into a Wii-Fit style device, enabling you to get your child up and moving by playing fun, immersive real life video games.

Each session is designed to get your child moving for 10 mins through brisk physical movements, which helps them develop their physical capabilities, build their confidence and immediately change their mood. Try your children on it as a break from non productive screen time and see the difference.
Over time we will be introducing 8 different movement game families, all scientifically designed to work different parts of the body, to build an overall movement literacy capability. This movement literacy is the foundation to helping our kids develop the confidence to put physical play back into the centre of their daily activities.

GAMIFIED EXERCISE EXPERIENCE #1 - SPACE BLAST - CONTROL THE SPACESHIP WITH YOUR BODY
GenMove works with the camera of the device … putting your kid inside the game, and in the control seat! You’ll see your child standing back from the phone (hands free), controlling the spaceship on the screen, all through simple movements patterns. Move left and right, jump up and down! Watch the spaceship take out the aliens with rapid fire! Excitement builds quickly as new waves of aliens appear on screen and keep everyone on their toes!

GET STARTED QUICKLY
It’s very simple to set up. You will put your device on the ground, and prop it up against a wall or water bottle. Take a few steps back, and make sure the device can see your head and feet. Get ready to play and have a blast! It's also super fun to screencast to a TV using Airplay!
