Valis eCOA supports tablet-based entry of clinical assessments and allows secure access to, and storage of, data collected throughout the CANinform and CANaspire studies. Valis eCOA is configured for each study to meet the needs of the protocol.
The eCOA system is composed of an iOS application and an associated Web Portal. MF raters have access to the eCOA application, which allows the user to complete electronic case report forms for study visits.
Use of eCOA involves setting up the hardware, using the app to record and enter data for the visit, and uploading the completed assessments through a wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (ethernet) connection. For compliance and storage purposes, all completed and uploaded assessments become inactive on the device after successful upload.
eCOA is available on Apple iPads that are managed by Valis through mobile device management software (MDM) and can be remotely updated, as well as locked and wiped in case of loss or theft.
