Improving your skills in sports often requires you to record yourself on camera in slowmo and analyse the videos. Also slowmo videos of your successful stunts is a nice thing to share with audience.
But do you always have a video operator with you?
Camera on a tripod can help. But dancing around the camera is annoying. Starting and stopping recording even with a smart watch is not an option when you need to concentrate on action. It’s a work for a companion, right?
You can just record a single long video, but finding the short moments of action on it is a really, really time consuming task.
Now you have a solution: a unique iOS app I searched for years and then just created it.
Here is how it works:
Just select the recording format and objects you want to capture on camera (people, skateboard, bike or anything you need). Then point camera to a place where you expect your action to happen and do your magic in front of it.
The app will continuously analyse the video stream from camera and start recording automatically when embedded offline neural network recognises any of the objects you are interested in and stop recording in 2 seconds after they disappear from the camera view or recognition keeps failing for this period of time.
All the recordings are saved to the documents directory of the app and can be accessed through Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows. Nothing is ever sent to anywhere online until you share it yourself. No internet connection is required.
Because app captures only the moments you need, you can enjoy slowmo action right away: no manual searching or trimming is needed. As well as no video operator is required.
