The new release of the B Squared Connecting Steps for iPad gives teachers the ability to access and enter their assessment data quickly and efficiently in the classroom, on the go or at home. The app is designed for recording and demonstrating pupils’ attainment and progress. All information is stored securely in the cloud and no data is stored on the iPad itself.

B Squared has been leading the assessment market for over 20 years. Capable of detecting even the smallest of improvements, our Connecting Steps software is used in over 3,000 schools to track pupil progress. Our assessment framework incorporates EYFS, P Scales, all Primary National Curriculum subjects, Welsh Foundation Phase and Curriculum for Wales Key Stage 2 assessments for English and Mathematics. We are also developing progress tracking for Key Stages 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum and assessments for the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. Our framework also incorporates Autism Progress, new autism profiling developed in collaboration with three leading autism charities. Autism Progress assesses the true impact of a person's autism and guides the development of targeted support strategies.

Our main software enables teachers and senior leadership teams to compare the development of groups of children (Pupil Premium, Free School Meals, English as an Additional Language, SEN, SEN Type, Gifted and Talented or any custom group that you want) in the core and foundation subjects. You can make comparisons between groups within the class; against age related expectations (ARE); and with learning milestones making it an excellent tool for not only assessment but planning, report writing and target setting as well as identifying where gaps need filling and intervention groups need to be put in place.
