Cut and Fill Batter Rails is a very useful app for all Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors alike involved in the setting out of road embankments or cuts.
It outputs the level at the front of the batter rail, and also gives you the amount that you need to measure up the rail to a nail which is calculated to 500mm lengths. This means that the slope distance is always calculated to a 500m length, and obviates error by measuring awkward slope distances.
This program prompts you for Distance from the Centre Line to the Kerb, Verge Width, Slope in Verge, Slope in Bank, Height of Traveller, Level of Top of Kerb and Distance from CL to Front Peg.
