Stone Soup Magazine is the literary magazine 100% written and illustrated by kids ages 13 and younger. It was founded in 1973 for the purpose of encouraging children to read, write, and draw by showcasing their best stories, poems, and artwork in a high-quality publication, in print and online. Kids love Stone Soup, and while entertaining them it also challenges, motivates, and stimulates them to deepen their engagement with reading, writing, and art. Long a fixture in schools, libraries, and the homes of children ages 8 to 13 who love to read and write, Stone Soup is the perfect gift for creative children.

Subscribers get 11 new issues of the Magazine every year– monthly, with a double summer issue–as well as access to 20 years of our rich archive of stories, poetry, and art. You also have access to our wide and growing range of writing and art activities, our online Book Club and Writing Workshops, and regular contests. Subscribers also get to submit their work for consideration for publication by our editor, for free! In the app and at Stonesoup.com, subscribers also have access to additional material by our young bloggers–book, movie, and game reviews, and opinion pieces on anything from technology to art to sports to sewing–updated regularly through the week, and all by kids under age 14.

Subscriptions are also available within the application. Digital subscriptions start immediately; the first print issue supplied will be the next released issue (usually the following month).

All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.

You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
