Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) for Californian license plates. This app will read Californian license plates on your iPhone or iPad.

Point the camera at a license plate and click read and the app will read the license plate. The app will compare the license plate to a list of up to 3000 license plates on your iPhone. No internet connection is needed.
You can add decoded plates to the list or edit the list file (PlateList.csv) manually using iTunes file-sharing.

You can set the app to SAVE an image of the plate when you save the plate number.

The application has a SCAN mode where it will automatically grab images at 1sec intervals (on iPhone 6 or above or iPad) and compare any plates found to its list of plates in PlateList.csv. If the plate is found the number is highlighted.

Your iPhone or iPad must be connected to an external power supply to run in AUTO mode.

You can email the list of plates you have gathered to yourself in a csv file.
