Who can apply?
Check via the app if you need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to come to the UK.

How to apply in the UK ETA app:

1. Answer a few questions about yourself.

2. Upload a photo of your passport.

3. Upload a photo of your face.

4. Pay the application fee.

The process takes approximately 10 minutes. You do not need to enter your travel information.

Before you begin:
To submit your application, you will need:
• the passport you will use to travel to the UK;

• a bank card (credit, debit) or Google Pay.

If you are applying for someone else, have a photo of their face and their passport ready.

If you need to travel soon
You must obtain an ETA before you travel to the UK. You can travel while your application is being processed.

After submitting your application
You will usually receive a decision within 1 to 7 working days, but priority or express processing may result in a faster response.

If your ETA is approved, it will be electronically linked to the passport used for the application. You will need to travel with this same passport to enter the UK.

Privacy and security
The app is safe and secure. No information is stored on the app or your phone after you close it. You can delete the app once your application is complete.
