Fereydoun Moshiri was born on September 20, 1961 in Tehran. His paternal grandfather had been transferred to Hamedan for an administrative mission, and his father, Ebrahim Moshiri Afshar, was born in Hamedan in 1275, and came to Tehran in his youth and served in the postal ministry from 1298.
