In the attachment you will find an akathist to the icon of the Mother of God “Addition of Mind”. According to legend, the icon was painted in the 17th century after an unknown icon painter saw the Mother of God. During the schism of the Russian Church, this icon painter could not understand for himself the meaning of Nikon’s reform and fell into madness. Then he began to fervently pray to the Most Holy Theotokos for admonition. After Her vision, he received a promise of healing if he painted an icon of the Mother of God in the form in which She appeared to him. The icon painter fulfilled his vow and called the painted image “Addition of the mind by the Most Holy Theotokos”
