Application developed by the Caminhos da Semente Initiative for the collection, analysis and management of monitoring data for areas undergoing ecological restoration, restoration of native vegetation or environmental recovery. The features include management of projects, properties, polygons and monitoring protocols, allowing the choice between protocols from the states of SP, MT and DF, the protocol developed by the Initiative itself, or customization of the plot size and the method to be used for measurement of soil cover. Monitoring is carried out through the following ecological indicators: percentage of soil cover by native plants (line intersection and line point intercept methods), density of natives (woody plants per hectare) and species richness (or morphospecies ) shrub-trees. Polygons can be added manually or imported via kml file. Record photos to document sample plots and link images directly to sampled species and morphospecies. Data collection can be done offline, with the export of collected data in a spreadsheet and secure storage in the cloud. Online synchronization sends data for analysis and generates interactive graphs in the Restoration Monitoring Results Dashboard, available on the Looker Studio platform. The Panel allows comparison between areas and can be used in reports and presentations.
MonitoraR represents a significant advance in time savings and data security for measuring the success of native vegetation restoration projects.
