CarModI (Indonesian Modified Cariogram) is an educational tool designed to increase understanding of dental caries or cavities. Caries is a complex disease caused by various factors, such as host, agent, environment and time. Apart from that, there are risk factors that need to be considered to prevent caries.
Although caries is still a dental health problem in various countries, this disease can be prevented by focusing on the risk factors. CarModI is a modification of the Cariogram program which was originally developed by Dr. Douglas Bratthall. This application measures 10 caries risk factor parameters, where new results can be obtained after filling in a minimum of 7 parameters.
This program was then modified by Wong Jun Ming (University of Singapore) so that it can be used on smartphones and adapted to Indonesian conditions by Sondang Pintauli and Jeffri Vermilion from the University of North Sumatra.
