Project management is a goal-oriented management concept for the preparation, planning, execution, control and monitoring of projects. In addition to project planning and project controlling as sub-functions of project management, this also includes staff management and the documentation of the process and the project results.

This basic course teaches the essential success factors for professional project management regardless of the industry and presents practical instruments and methods. A wealth of checklists, forms and other templates are provided for your own project work.

The target groups of this course program are all those who work project-oriented in their everyday work or who want to strengthen their skills as a project manager, as well as students of all disciplines who want to familiarize themselves with the subject of project management.

The written exam can be taken online or at a campus location of the FernUniversität Hagen of your choice. If you pass the exam, you will receive a university certificate. Students can also have the ECTS points they have earned certified for a Certificate of Basic Studies.
