The D.o.D. Project - Democracy over Disinformation (101081216), co-funded by the European Union under the CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) program, has as its main objective to raise awareness of the phenomenon of disinformation and fake news and the importance of media literacy, especially in relation to democratic debate. In addition, the project strives to promote cross-sectoral cooperation by involving municipalities, libraries, universities/schools/NGOs (youth), youth centers in the project and thus ensure visibility and success of the project. Finally, the project also aims as a cross-sectoral objective to create a network among southern, western and eastern European countries in order to work together for the benefits of the EU and spread its values. One mean for fighting against fake-news and disinformation is the methodical tool, whose main goal is to educate the European population about the phenomenon of media misinformation through a theoretical part and a practical part through which they can test their knowledge on the topic. The tool comes as a result of the three international conferences planned by the project in Lithuania, Italy and Germany and the shared effort of the project consortium.
