This application was developed by students from the Geography course at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, as an initiative to develop tools for the teaching of Physical Geography in line with the new technologies available.

The app is designed for macroscopic identification of more than 100 common rocks found;

Based on the methodology proposed by Professor Menezes (2000), the rocks were classified according to their structure, granulometry, texture and macro-mineralogical presence of the rock composition;
