This calculator was designed to allow for the conversion of a signal (namely 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, 1-5 V, and 0-5 V signals) and a process variable (PV) value using the upper range value (URV) and lower range value (LRV). It also allows for a percentage of the process to be converted into the process variable or signal value.

It may also be used to convert two signal values using the output table at the bottom. (i.e. a 4-20 mA signal to a 1-5 V signal)

For 0-10 V or 2-10 V signals, simply double or halve the 0-5 V and 1-5 V respectively.

Span and range automatically get calculated so the conversion is made simple.
