With this app, words and texts written in modern Turkish script can be transcribed into Old Turkish runic script (Orkhon runes).

With the "START" button you first get a letter-by-letter transcription. By pressing the "FINALIZE" button, rune combinations for which special runes exist are replaced with these runes.

It should be noted that the Orkhon script makes no distinction between e.g. B. "ö" and "ü" as well as "g" and "ğ". Also, there are no Orkhon runes for "f" and "v". The corresponding Germanic runes are used as a substitute for these letters in the app. If you want to avoid this, you should replace "f" with "p" and "v" with "w" in the source text. For the Turkish "j" as in "jeton", the Yenisei variant of the "ç" rune is used.

It is not recommended to use the app to create templates for tattoos or similar purposes. Please consult with someone who has a reliable command of the Orkhon script beforehand!
