The application offers a prayer to Mary Most Holy Immaculate

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was extended to the entire Church by Pope Pius XII in 1944, in memory of the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary which he accomplished on 31 October 1942, following the request of Alexandrina Maria da Costa (beatified on 25 April 2004), which was added to that made by Sister Lucia of Fátima.

The whole world has been consecrated several times to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by various pontiffs:

• Paul VI, 21 November 1964
• John Paul II, 13 May 1982
• John Paul II together with all the bishops of the world, 25 March 1984
• Francis, 13 October 2013

"Tota pulchra es, Maria, et macula origines non est in Te

The Immaculate Conception is the sign of the faithfulness of God who does not give up in the face of man's sin. His fullness of grace also reminds us of the immense possibilities of good, beauty, greatness and joy that are within man's reach when he allows himself to be guided by the Will of God, rejecting sin.

In the light of She whom the Lord gives us as "advocate of grace and model of holiness", we learn to always flee from sin. Let us pray to the Virgin to give us the joy of living under her maternal gaze in purity and holiness of life. (JOHN PAUL II, ANGELUS, Thursday 8 December 1994)

One day they asked Padre Pio why he insisted so much on making the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The Saint replied: "Because it is the only place in the world where Satan has not set foot and will never set foot to take away the souls who have entered it... and such a diabolical future awaits you that the Apocalypse is nothing in comparison, get in there and you will be safe."
