LITERA is an app that reinforces literacy in children, seeking to improve lives with technology.
In conjunction with the use of the app, which is without the need to have internet, I have created a method (that did not exist) to be used in the classrooms and it is a process that must be carried out in three months to achieve great results. There are five steps:
1) Observe the class group for a while.
2) Carry out objective tests that serve to obtain data (three-question instructions such as ordering simple sentences, completing words), to see the group's literacy.
3) Explain what an app is and that all children use it.
4) Measure the impact of the app with objective tests, which are a little more challenging.
5) Follow the evolution of the students with activities and games.
From 10% who knew how to read and write, I have reached 80% of literate students in a vulnerable school in Tucumán, Argentina, in just three months, with the method and the app created.
It should be noted that the app is useful for teachers in any public school or college, as well as anyone who has difficulties with reading and writing.
