Calculating a biaped beam manually is a complex and time-consuming process, even subject to human error. In this sense, the application comes as an excellent tool, which will assist Civil Engineering professionals, contributing to the development of this professional area. The application presents calculation steps for neutral line results, tensile reinforcement, compression reinforcement, transversal reinforcement and the dimensioning itself.
Initially, it is necessary for the user to enter the necessary data for the design, these being: concrete, load, length, base, height, ø transversal, ø longitudinal and length.
The application calculates initial data for: D, D ’, FYD, FCD, MSD, x’, x ”, X adopted and ε;
For the tensile reinforcement, the application calculates the steel area in cm², the maximum allowed reinforcement and the minimum allowed steel area. If the calculated reinforcement is greater than the maximum reinforcement, the application reports an error. If the minimum reinforcement is greater than the calculated reinforcement, then the application will use the minimum (the largest always);
For compression reinforcement the application calculates the new X, Tsd.As, Esc, As' (cm²). If there is no compression armor, the application will open a new screen indicating that there is no need for compression armor;
For transverse reinforcement the application calculates VK, VRD2, VC, VSW, ASW / S, ASW / S (minimum);
When calculating the dimensioning, the application solves the values of bar numbers (traction), calculated steel area (traction), steel area of bars, calculated steel area (compression), number of bars (compression), maximum spacing between stirrups, calculated spacing between stirrups and number of stirrups, in addition to showing the dimensioning of the beam in image and the transverse reinforcement of the stirrup in image and measurements.
