In 1977 Pietrelcina radio was born and it was broadcasting from a street in via Roma using a ground plane antenna and a small 5 watt transmitter.
The radio was born by the will of a group of friends older than me (Mario Polvere) and if the mind does not deceive me, I only remember some of the founders
like: Nicola Frangiosa who unfortunately left us a few years ago, then Galliano and others whom I will gradually insert with the help of friends,
Subsequently, the broadcaster takes hold and grows, managing to purchase the Radio Luna Benevento systems and is transferred out of Pagoveiano
in via Castello 19 where it remains for many years, after which it is transferred near Viale Cappuccini taking the name of: Radio Alternativa Sud
until the plant is sold to a priest of the curie of Circiello and operating on the Fm frequency of 96.00 MHz.
In the period when the radio was broadcasting from via Castello, it used a 200 watt transistor tx and also a 1,000 watt tx located on Monte Barrata.
All this until the radio was sold in the late 90s.
The undisputed protagonists of that time were: Mario Maiolo, Orlando Pasqualino, Mario dust, Nicole Frangiosa Galliano, Filippo Lombardi,
Antonietta Frangiosa and many other DJs.
