The Heart of the Nid is a local application created by the association Tombée du Nid to be able to provide practical assistance to families with a disabled child or wishing to adopt.

The "Integrated Toolbox" provides access to various disability-related content by category (getting your bearings, e-learning, books, etc.). Testimonials and sharing of experiences are the subject of a separate and rich section. .

It also aims to connect volunteers, "Mom or Dad Bird", who wish to give their time to accompany them.
Families with a disabled child, “Poussin”, will thus benefit from help and support in their daily lives.

Profile "Mom or Dad Bird":
There is no "typical" profile to become "Mom or Dad Bird".
The association is looking for serious volunteers, who wish to give their time to support families with a child with a disability.
You who are eager to be "Mom or Dad Bird", you who feel the soul of becoming "Mom or Dad Bird":

- You have time and availability

- Your commitment is regular and for a whole year minimum
The types of missions that may be entrusted to you (non-exhaustive list):

- Support in administrative procedures
(Allowances, parking card, connection with specialized structures, etc.)
- Accompaniment to help the family in their daily life (advice, help with shopping, medical appointments, sharing tips, etc.)
- Accompaniment "support" (sharing, listening, comfort...)
- Support in the process of adopting a child with a disability

You will benefit from training, conferences offered by the association "Tombée du Nid".
Important: You do not in any way replace the mother and/or the father (your role being the accompaniment)
A secure questionnaire will be submitted to you when you create your account. Your application will be examined by the members of the association. A response will then be emailed to you.

"Chick" profile:
There is no "typical" profile for registering/entering the nest as a "Chick".

The association welcomes all families with a child with a disability of any kind who needs help and support from a volunteer.

You who are “Chick”:

- You are a family with a child with a disability between 0 and 16 years old
You must specify the nature of the assistance you need:
- Help with administrative procedures
(Allowances, parking card, connection with specialized structures, etc.)
- Help in your daily life (advice, help with shopping, medical appointments, sharing tips, etc.)
- Moral “support” help (sharing, listening, comforting, etc.)
- Assistance in the process of adopting a child with a disability

A secure questionnaire will be submitted to you when you create your account, the data collected from which will be consulted by the members of the association.
