The present application contains basic information on the subject of chemistry, formulated succinctly and presented in an enumerating form. It is aimed at secondary school students, students in preparation for scientific studies, as well as adults interested in further education.

"Chemie to go" is a further development of the teaching and learning CD-Rom "Chemie-hoch-vier" and consists of four parts,

... an electronic chemistry book for the preparation of the curriculum with contents on general, inorganic and organic chemistry,

... "Inquiry", to consolidate the acquired knowledge,

... a quiz on multiple-choice basis with over 4,000 questions for sustainable knowledge acquisition, as well

... instructions for about 50 simple chemistry experiments.

The e-book is divided into three parts (general, inorganic and organic chemistry) and contains basic information in the form of 41 "building blocks". Pop-up texts and a glossary of about 1000 terms make studying easier. Numerous illustrations, graphics, videos of experiments as well as technical processes and 3D representations of molecules sometimes illustrate complex relationships.

The "Asked Questions" section contains short questions or exercises including solutions for the respective e-book chapter. This section allows you to automatically check your personal level of knowledge and helps to consolidate the acquired knowledge.

The automated quiz on multiple-choice basis with over 4,000 questions and four possible answers allows self-control and improves self-assessment. Two test variants, "Training" or "Examination" are available.

The experiment section is divided into 12 chapters, each briefly presented. Each experiment is divided into the sections "What is it?", "What is needed", "What to do", "Observation" and "Explanation". The most important steps are photographically recorded in the "Gallery".

"Chemistry to go" can help to break down barriers, promote understanding, facilitate the learning of chemistry and arouse enthusiasm in dealing with chemistry.
