The VdS logbook is an app for keeping a digital logbook in accordance with VdS ​​specifications. With this app, various operating logs for different system types can be kept and individually adjusted.
The different books are provided in the form of customized templates. So far, the following systems can be managed digitally with the VdS logbook:
- Water extinguishing systems (VdS 2212)
The controls and deficiencies are kept in the form of simple lists. Text modules help to quickly identify frequently occurring deficiencies. Dates are stored according to the specifications of the VdS, so that upcoming checks are regularly displayed for resubmission.
After completing an inspection, the inspection report is displayed and can be sent in the form of a PDF file if required.
The data is always stored locally on the mobile recording device, and if there is an internet connection, it is also saved on the app servers. This enables the operator log to be transferred to another device in the event of a longer absence of the system operator, so that the checks can be continued there as a substitute.
