The Macquarie Island Conservation Foundation, with generous support from the Purryburry Trust, brings you the Macquarie Island Field Guide. This is the first definitive digital field guide for Macquarie Island, designed to be widely accessible. It includes all of the birds and seals that breed on the island, all of the vascular plants, as well as a selection of unique or dominant insects and seaweeds, introduced pests and weeds, common cetaceans and historical information for eradicated and extinct species. The guide provides a tool to assist in the broader monitoring of Macquarie Island, while also serving as an educational resource and point of connection to the island’s treasured natural values.
