The CP Movetime app has been designed for children with cerebral palsy and uses advanced machine learning algorithms paired with wearable sensors.
Working with an allied health care practitioner, clients set movement goals across four categories: sitting/ lying, standing, walking, and cycling to encourage increased activity. The app tracks daily progress and provides prompts to encourage progress towards set goals. Activity can be reviewed in daily, weekly, and monthly format.
Additionally, the app contains a tips section, to assist with
attaching and syncing the wearable sensor, which is needed to
measure movement data.
This technology-based solution, will provide the tools for children and youth with cerebral palsy, their parents, carers and support workers to track their movement throughout the day, enabling the child’s primary care practitioner to have accessible, digital and objective daily real-time movement data to enable implementation of proactive behavior change strategies to reduce sedentary behaviors.
