"Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi" was born in 1285 in a village called "Khashknab" in East Azarbaijan province.
His father was known as a calligrapher and scribe Haji Mir Mir Khashkabi and his mother was a housewife.
Seyyed Mohammad Hussein's childhood in the same village passed through the heights of "Haidar Baba". This period has been preserved by the prince in his Turkish poems, "Heydar Babaye Salam".
He was one of the first graduates of the modern educational system in Iran to study at the end of high school and then came to Tehran to pursue his studies at Dar al-Fonoon Tehran until the end of his medical school and in several hospitals practical training courses. Passed. But he did not finish his doctorate and was employed by the government and worked for several years in the Neyshabur and Mashhad Documentation Offices. In 1315 an employee of the Agricultural Bank in Tahran was transferred to Tabriz and remained in this city until the end of his life.
He married and was the father of two daughters, Shahrzad and Maryam, and a son, Hadi.
His sermon was first "Behjat", as if he himself did not like the name, and to divert it to the Hafiz Divan, and it comes to pass: "That the wheel of this coin of government was called in the name of the princes".
"When I read my poems to my mother, she said:
"Son, write your own poems in your mother tongue so your mother can understand the lyrics too"
Named Shahriar, both Persian and Turkic, he sometimes plays alongside seven other well-known poets of Persian language and literature, namely Ferdowsi, Khayyam, Nezami Ganji, Attar Neyshabouri, Saadi Shirazi, Molavi, and Hafiz. It can be said that he was the last of the great and famous Persian poetry dynasty and the eighth of them.
Shahriar died in Tabriz on September 27, 1988 and his body was buried in the same city.
