BAYERN 3 - and YOU in the middle!

Bayern 3 is a German public radio station owned and operated by Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR).

Before that, the ARD guest worker program had been broadcast on the frequencies since 1964 in the evenings. Bayern 3 started broadcasting on April 1, 1971 and was initially aimed at a young audience.
This radio station now sees itself as a Hot AC program, which is broadcast around the clock. The core target group is to address listeners in particular between the ages of 14 and 49. Since July 2017, the program slogan of Bayern 3 has been "BAYERN 3 – and YOU right in the middle!"
