LifeSampling-EMA
Psychological Care
LifeSampling-EMA is an ecological momentary assessment application. It allows the repeated and real-time measurement of various variables (thoughts, emotions, behaviors, physical state and context) in the person's particular, natural and changing environment. This method captures everyday phenomena without altering them because the measurements are taken in the real world, in real time, in a changing and uncontrollable context. It addresses the evaluation of real interactions and a person's subjective experience.
This online platform makes it possible to develop tailor-made questionnaires or interventions for participants of a study or the monitoring of psychotherapeutic interventions. More concretely, through the mobile application, clinicians/researchers can send questions or exercises to patients/participants at different times of the day and during a given period (e.g. once/week, every day for a month, etc.). This application is part of a broader field of tools (mobile health) allowing the accumulation of data in real time, but also the possibility of intervening in real time, in the person's current environment.
All the questionnaires present in this application are developed within the University of Liège and are approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Psychology, Speech Therapy and Educational Sciences. This ensures deep respect for personal and confidential data.
