The "Ebullen Najm Ahmad bin Qusib Ahmad Manouchehri Damgani" known as "Manouchehri" was born in Damghan at the end of the fifth century AH.
He spent his childhood in his hometown and was educated there. His knowledge of literature, astronomy, medicine and philosophy is clear from his poems.
At a young age, Manouchehri went to the Ziariyan court in Tabaristan and was nicknamed "Manouchehri" by the Shah of Gorgan and Tabaristan as "Manuchehr bin Shams al-Mu'alib al-Qabus bin Washimer". He then went to "Ray" and from there to "Ghazna" and became the poet of the court of "Massoud Ghaznavi".
Manouchehr died young. He died in 432 AH. No one knows where the Manuchehri tomb is, but there is a monument in Damghan called the Zanguleh Dome, which is believed to have been built during the Ilkhanid period. Some say this is the tomb of Manouchehri Damghan.
