The application aims to facilitate the identification, recognition and parameters of preservation and intervention adopted in urban centers in the state of Pernambuco. Currently, there are six cities with urban complexes recognized at the federal, state or municipal level. Recognizing and preserving these areas, in addition to isolated monuments, is of paramount importance for the development of cities and preservation of our identity.
At the federal level, the IPHAN, until 2017, had fallen to around 88 urban complexes, three of which were located in Pernambuco: Olinda (1962); Igarassu (1972); and Bairro do Recife (1998). Goiana has been in the process of listing since 2010 by that institution. At the state level, the Pernambuco Historical and Artistic Heritage Foundation (Fundarpe), from the State Council for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, recognized the historic site of Brejo da Madre de Deus (2020) and the historic site of Triunfo is located in the process of falling over. At the municipal level, the historic sites of the cities of Recife, Olinda, Igarassu, Goiana and Triunfo, are recognized by municipal legislation.
In the app you can find a brief history of the formation of cities with recognized urban sets, as well as photographs taken in January 2021, mostly using a drone, as well as a brief summary of legislation and aspects of preservation of each set.
