The Nossa Cidade newspaper is the “youngest” of the city's newspapers. Founded on July 20, 1999, it achieved a success that crossed the boundaries of the municipality and today is one of the media with the highest rate of reading and commercial return in the entire region.

In the beginning, it circulated with 12 pages, every two weeks. Two years later, it was already 24 pages long and the circulation started to be quarterly (3 editions per month), always on Fridays, without its advertisers having any additional cost for this.

And this success is due to the pioneering spirit that has marked Nossa Cidade since its foundation: the boldness to launch a periodical in a format different from everything that existed, escaping sameness, also innovating in printing: it was the first newspaper to be printed in colors, the first to have a website, the first to have a cultural program, the first to launch an exclusive Classifieds notebook.

Then came regional circulation: readers from neighboring cities started to claim the receipt of the newspaper and Nossa Cidade crossed the borders of Cerquilhenses, now circulating in:
Jumirim, Laranjal Paulista and Tietê.

The newspaper does not have a name to boast about, it has a job. Serious, honest work developed by a competent team of seven professionals, each playing a key role in the commercial, writing, distribution and administration areas.

Everyone, without exception, today deserves congratulations on reaching this brand and, in such a short time, becoming a leader in the local market, and one of the most successful media in the entire region.

The newspaper Nossa Cidade has as its responsible journalist its founder, José Geraldo Doriguello (MtB 22981), graduated in journalism from the Methodist University of Piracicaba and post-graduated in Communication from the Faculty of Social Communication Cásper Líbero, in São Paulo.

The team is also composed of: Ariane Belucci and Marisa Bettini (administration), Célia Rossana Doriguello, Luiz Roberto Pereira (commercial) and Ricardão (distribution), in addition to collaborators who make each edition a love story and dedication to serious journalism and committed to the news.
