The Little Dictionary of the Portuguese Language Houaiss features over 32,000 entries of words and phrases clearly and simply. Fully drafted according to the Spelling Agreement, brings the new rules of accentuation, hyphenation and spelling. It also contains:
• syllabic separation and indication stressed syllable and its tones when closed;
• plural indication, the feminine, augmentative and irregular diminutive, plural of compound words and foreign;
• Technical and scientific vocabulary classified by areas with headings (biology, mathematics, religion etc.);
