The volumetric acquisitions of the methods of diagnostic sectional images, fundamentally the computed tomography, allow a postprocessing of the images with different basic and advanced visualization methods, emphasizing among these last the three-dimensional volumetric representations.
Volume Rendering is a very relevant method of study in the understanding of sectional anatomy since it allows us to perfectly orientate all the structures in the different planes of space. Its pleasant combination of the section with the three-dimensional vision makes its use attractive and enlightening.
Both Volume Rendering 3D and Sectional Volume Rendering complement the diagnosis of the pathology and allow a clear understanding of it, indispensable at present, for our surgeons and in the teaching of Medicine
This work, Pathology 3D, constitutes an Atlas of three-dimensional images with computed tomography
