When working with computers, it is common for users to rely heavily on the mouse, resulting in an increased risk of injury. To reduce the amount of mouse usage and to reduce the risk of injury, it is recommended to use keyboard shortcuts or “hotkeys” for many commonly performed tasks.
Keyboard shortcuts are individual keys or groupings of keys that when pressed, individually or in a specific sequence, perform a pre-programmed task (i.e. copy / paste).
