Storytelling is a way for Mom and Dad to strengthen bonding and help children sleep better. Some parents often read Islamic children's fairy tales, stories about animal life, folk tales and so on.
Many studies say that fairy tales can not only help children sleep better. Children who are used to hearing fairy tales can also help in children's brain development.
According to a 2015 study published in the Journal of Pediatrics, children whose parents were reading stories more often exhibited more complex brain activity.
"Neural research shows that storytelling for children can improve their logical skills. Not only that, storytelling for children can also help them master language faster, "said G. Reid Lyon, Ph.D, head of child development and behavior at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in Bethesda, MD, United States.
