This experiment addresses the use of restriction enzymes as tools for the analysis and identification of DNA samples from different bacterial strains. In this experiment, you will use restriction enzymes to produce the PCR cleavage product of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene, amplified from genomic DNA samples from five bacterial strains. In addition, it will use agarose gel electrophoresis to separate and visualize the fragments obtained, classifying the different bacterial strains used by analyzing the restriction profile obtained.
