The pilgrimage is the fifth pillar of Islam after the creed, prayer, fasting, and alms. Of course for those who have excess fortune, performing the pilgrimage is a pleasure in itself. But in practice, the process of carrying out the fifth pillar of Islam must go through a winding road. Understandably, every year there is a quota that limits Hajj applicants to go to the Holy Land. In 2019, the quota for Indonesian pilgrims is around 204,000 people, divided into 34 provinces.
The number of registrants may not exceed the quota determined by the Ministry of Religion each year. If someone has registered but the quota has been fulfilled, it will be registered for the next year of departure. Given the number of pilgrims quota that changes each year, it is important for registrants to check the departure portion numbers. Hajj portion numbers are registration numbers obtained by pilgrims when paying the initial deposit at the bank receiving the deposit for financing or the cost of pilgrimage.
There are two ways you can do to check the portion number of the pilgrimage departure. The first, can be through an application on a smartphone. Then the second can be through the official website provided by the Ministry of Religion.
