Wheels or rims are the outer circle of metal design that the inner edges of the tires are mounted on vehicles such as cars. For example, on a bicycle wheel at the edge of a large circle attached to the outer end of the wheel fingers that hold the tires and tubes.

Modern passenger vehicles and tubeless tires typically use one-piece rims with "security" on the ream. Security features help keep hold on the edge under adverse conditions by having a pair of rasas extending the safety from the periphery toward the seat of another tire from outside the contoured surface contour.
Heavy vehicles and some trucks may have a detachable multi-piece and the edges consist of a base mounted to the wheels. These components are removed from one side for tire installation, while the opposite side attached to the base remains pointed.
